Fabulous house in the best possible location.

Our family of 12 had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and so was the location and comfort of this home. We were so close to the beach and even had an unobstructed view of the ocean.

This house was perfect for our family of eight. It's hard to express what we loved best. My favorite thing was the view of the ocean. The house is beside a public access, but you would have never really known that. Great location. We stayed May 2024 and there were recent updates, including new decking and furniture and it was outstanding. This was probably the cleanest beach house we have ever experienced and that is important to us. I was so impressed with all the things that were available in the unit. I cannot say one negative thing about this House. We booked through Vrbo and our customer service experience was also outstanding and that is important to us.

House was very clean. Plenty of space for our family of 12! Downstairs bedroom with 2 beds was a little small for 4 people!
Had some maintenance issues that took a few phone calls to be addressed but Kyle and Brittany were great to deal with.
The location is perfect. We enjoyed our week!

Fantastic location and home was lovely and clean. 2 concerns: the pool does not stay clean, a lot of algae buildup. Not sure if the pump is not strong enough for the pool or too little chlorine. Second, when walking out onto the porch from the living room, the railing is loose on the left.

We were very pleased with the location, absolutely loved having an ocean view. House was very clean. Very pleased with having 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. Pool may be a little small, but served our pool purpose just fine. We would definitely consider another vacation experience at Cake by the Ocean.

Had issues that where reported but never resolved. Paddle fan in main bedroom could not use very loud and wobbled, toilet would not flush without flush by hand removing the lid top every time, gate in rear fence would not close and latch , 4. Or 5 left behind boggie. Boards the place was great location amazing view perfect. Fantastic place to stay. Awesome

We had a wonderful time at the beach house. It was in a great location just a few steps from the ocean. The house itself was beautiful and very comfortable. The private pool was fantastic!

Our whole family totally enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect, views amazing. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The numbwr of bedrooms with baths gave everyone much appreciated privacy. We definitely want to come back

We could not be more pleased with our stay at 'Cake by the Ocean' in Surfside Beach, SC. The house was immaculately cared for inside and out!

The kitchen had all the essentials we needed to make meals and snacks. The open concept kitchen/living area was a wonderful way to relax and enjoy the house, and to take in the views of the Atlantic ocean right from the kitchen table!! The first and second floor balconies were also great ways to view the beach.

This house is just soo comfortable to be in. We liked the fact that it has one bedroom on the first floor w/the adjoining bath. The other four bedrooms and baths were upstairs, and were wonderfully equipped. With six TVs, each of us could watch what we wanted to without issue.

Access to the ocean is through the backyard, it is truly only 100 steps to the beach, just amazing!

The pool was also immaculately maintained, and the outdoor shower (which looks new) offers real privacy, so if you want to take a real shower outside and not just a rinse off, you can!!

To our great surprise there are several restaurants just three blocks away that offer great food and drinks. It was really nice to be able to walk to and from dinner and leave the car at home.

Truly a wonderful house to vacation in. Thanks to the owner and the Southern Coast Vacations for making our vacation a real treat!! We can't wait to book for next year!

This house is perfect all around!

Location: You just can't beat the location! There's an open lot in front of this property and your view from the living room and master bedroom IS the ocean. You can see the waves and such a great view for the morning sunrise! Literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. It's truly heaven! It's not right in Myrtle Beach but that's why I loved the location. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is about 9 miles/15 minutes up the road. There are plenty of grocery stores, liquor stores, and dining close by.

House: The living room is open and there's plenty of room for 12. It's beautifully decorated. You have an upper deck off the master bedroom and a lower deck off the living room to enjoy the ocean view and hear the waves crashing 24/7. Beds were very comfortable and there are all the amenities you'd need to stay for a week or longer. The towels and bed sheets are washed and sanitized, as they come wrapped in plastic. Large kitchen area, since that is where everyone typically hangs out. There are beach chairs and sand toys for the kids to take out to the beach and a BBQ grill provided. You even have your own outdoor shower and pool. House was spotless and it's very well maintained.

We were there in late December 2021. We had one day of rain. Other than that, weather was in the mid 50s with lots of sunshine. Enjoyed a daily walk or two on the beach. Such a beautiful house and a GREAT location! Looking forward to booking my next vacation here!

Love this house! The view from the balconies can’t be beat, and it’s so close to a lot of the restaurants we love in Surfside.

Exactly how it is presented online. We enjoyed ourselves! We weren’t in the mix of all the go go go in the city, yet in a nice, clean, peaceful area. The property manager was easy to contact and very accommodating! We’ll stay again.

Had a wonderful time, weather was great, perfect location, had a little issue when we arrived. The door code would not work. After many phone calls, key was found and extra keys were brought to us. Everything worked out.

Beach house was perfect for our family of 16. Everyone had their own bathroom connected to their bedroom which was priceless. The property management team was very responsive to all of my calls. The new washer was delivered during our stay and it only took a few minutes for the technicians to replace the washing machine. The 3 minute walk to the beach was ideal. We paid to have beach chairs and umbrellas set up every day so we would walk over late morning and the chairs and umbrellas were ready for us to lounge in the rest of the day. I highly recommend this rental property.

Our experience was very good. The house was conveniently located to beach access and quiet area. It was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The only issue was the washer which we communicated to rental office. They responded with maintenance follow-up and decided to replace. We were told it would happen on Friday, June 2nd but never happened.
We would rent again . Again we are from Wendell, N.C. , not Windale!!

From Start to finish, booking to travel home and the stay in-between was amazing. The house was super clean and so very welcoming. A bathroom is every room!!! Location was amazing. I would definitely book with Southern Coast Vacations again and rent the very same home!

Wonderful location and space. Wish it was a little more child friendly though. Had some issues with maintenance and cleaning unfortunately. Got in two hours later than promised and we had to wait. Then our washer and garbage disposal was broken and had to be fixed. If things would have been cleaned at the correct time, I believe we wouldn’t have had any issues at all.

We had 13 family members stay the week here (two children under 14) and our dog. Everyone had a great time, there was plenty of room to sleep, eat and relax. We love how close it was to the beach and we love the pool. I suggest taking advantage of the parking in the lot 1/2 a block behind the house so everyone is not moving cars around, as there is only room for 4 cars under the house and they all have to be in a straight line, one behind the other. Once we parked a couple in the lot behind us it was much less stressful to move cars around.

Lovely home with nice pool. Across street from beach, close walk. Good location. Beds uncomfortable and squeak every time you move. Biggest concern were the broken rocking chairs on top balcony and the lack of toilet paper and hand soap. For the price this should be included just as a hotel supplies for a much cheaper price.

The house exceeded our needs when it came to bathrooms and bedrooms. Plenty of room.

Where do I start? The cleaning service did a horrible job and I sent pictures to Southern Coast. The pool was not cleaned. Email said they clean it on Wed and Sat. I called Wednesday evening and they cleaned it on Thursday. Asked for extra keys. They never made one the man on prem promised. Service line was terrible. They never return phone calls. Kitchen pots and pans in terrible condition. Place is filthy. Owner is not getting their money's worth with Southern Coast, The Cleaning Service, or Pool Service. Owner will lose out in the long run as people will not go there. Sand galore in the house on the porches, up the stairs, etc. Can't even park but three vehicles. With four vehicles, you have to pay for Value Parking. Crowded neighborhood. Door handles and doors we had to clean. Sent pictures before and after to Southern Coast. Think we will return to our house from last year on 9th Ave. Sunsational Tara is not worth it.

My family of 8 adults and 5 kids had plenty of room in this house. There was enough seating in the main living area for everyone to be in a chair which was really nice. We had an ocean view from both balconies however, the balcony off the master bedroom had several loose boards that didn't feel safe to walk on. It was an exact 1 minute walk from the house to the sand. The outdoor toy storage and shower were very nice to have. The pans and other kitchen necessities were not in the best shape so I would recommend maybe bringing your favorite skillet and pot. We loved that the upstairs and downstairs had their own thermostats so everyone was comfortable. Our only complaints were that the outside furniture was covered in pollen so it didn't look like anyone had cleaned or sprayed them down prior to arrival, the beds were very noisy just sitting on them and the bathrooms could use some rugs, as a guest we weren't given enough towels to use for bath and the slick floors. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is spacious and easily accommodates a large family gathering with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well furnished. The only issues were the sofa smelled like dog, the internet was spotty, and the cable was not turned on when we got there. But those were minor issues for us, and we would definitely stay there again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place and vacation at the Sunsational Tara. We had 8 adults, 3 kids, and a dog together to celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday and this location was unbelievable. It’s so close to the beach that you can almost consider it beach front and afternoon cool offs at the private pool couldn’t be beat. We loved our time here and will definitely be back! Thank you!!

We were a little worried about coming down this year with all the uncertainty regarding COVID-19 however the management company made us feel confident the property would be properly cleaned and it was. Great to get a change of scenery and was much needed. Some small things that would make the stay even better...WiFi needs a serious upgrade, it wasn’t useable and rocking chairs need some TLC.

Overall, the place was great. It had enough room for everyone, but not all of the cars. The view was amazing and there was easy access to the beach. The house could use a little updating, but it suited our needs.

Nice house. Very nice location. Clean. Only complaint was that the mattresses were very noisey. The ad indicated new mattresses but they squeaked with every movement on them.

We had an outstanding vacation while staying at the Sunsational Tara. The house is great. We would definitely stay here again.

This is our 6th year staying at Sunsational Tara and we always enjoy ourselves. The proximity to the beach is ideal and the views from the porch are fantastic (need to trim one of the palms). The televisions have been upgraded but the internet WiFi is extremely slow. Was a great time!

We had a great time at this house for our annual family beach week. We had a house full of kids and adults so we needed a situation that could accommodate all needs. This house was perfect and would recommend for anyone seeking easy beach access and a pool. The proximity to the busy road was the only real concern however was mitigated by blocking off the stair access for the smaller kids.

Nice house with beach just across the street and close to any kind of stores needed. I would definitely rent again and recommend. The only downs were the appliances were outdated to the point you had to use the stove on high to cook and the house could have been a bit cleaner. But all in all it would not keep me from recommending.

Overall the house was nice. The women at the office were very nice and helpful and pleasant to deal with. The living room felt kind of crowded with all of the furniture. It would help to put the wifi code on the frig. Good location to the beach as well. I would recommend and would stay again.

The house was perfect for us. Every couple had their own room and their own bath. Just a few steps from the beach and close to all kinds of activities. The house was clean and provided plenty of room to gather. We cooked in as often as we went out. A couple of tubs drained slowly and mattresses were older but nothing we couldn't live with. We all agreed, if we do this kind of a gathering again, we would choose Sunsational Tara again!

This was a excellent location. In the middle between Merils inlet and Myrtle Beach. Only s short drive to both. bunch of golf course to choose from in the area as well. located across the street from the beach and has the inground pool to stay at the house as well.

The rental house and location was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed relaxing on the swing after the hot days on the beach too. The beach view was also nice. There was plenty of room in the house for ever one. We plan to stay here again in the future.

While the weather didn't cooperate we had a great time! We have stayed here for the last 5 years but Sunsational Tara needs a little more TLC and updates to continue to be a great vacation destination; mattresses are uncomfortable and the same as 5 years ago, railing spindles not secure, porch chairs are in need of some paint, bathroom showers not draining, leaky kitchen sink facet, more than the normal share of palmetto bugs and technology (cable, wifi, DVD, etc) are ancient, board at top of the stairs as you step onto the porch landing is cracked, outside looking a bit weathered and in need of a refresh.

Wonderful house in the best location. Corner lot afforded privacy and pool was perfect for afternoons! I never took a shower inside the house because the outdoor shower was so inviting! The 6 bathrooms inside meant no waiting in there either! Surfside is very chill and the beach was wide and beautiful. Loved Angela's Fresh Market for great crab cakes and key lime pies!

We loved the location and the picture of the beach does not do it the proper justice. Our family ranged from 11 months to 59 years of age and all in between. Loved having our own bathrooms. Close enough to walk to a few locations and to drive to more than a few more. I would have liked the property to be a bit more clean and some of the pans to cook in should be replaced in my opinion.

Our vacation was much better than I had expected! The house was large enough to handle a large rowdy family and still give us personal space - 11 adults, 2 children, 3 babies. My family wants to make this an annual event. We have always loved the South Beach because it is closest to the good food at Murrells Inlet.

This is the 5th year we have stayed at Sunsational Tara and we continue to enjoy immensely. The inside was changed out with new carpet and furniture which was nice to see. We will be booking again for next year

Sunsational tara was just what our family needed. We enjoyed the pool and several of our grandchildren greatly improved their swimming skills because of the size of the pool. (Adults enjoyed it too). Beach access was very good almost like being right on the beach. The decks and rockers were used every night as we sat and talked as the night settled in around us. The size of the house was great too. So nice to not have to share bathrooms. House was clean and well stocked. Would definitely stay there again. The property owner and management company were very helpful and easy to work with

Some updating needs to be done in the kitchen with appliances, pans, etc. Location is great.

Where do I 4sons,their families & I (total of 14, from 5 different states)had a great experience. Loved being so close to the beach. The private pool was wonderful & refreshing on those very hot days. We only had one rainy day, so we set up several games & a food table in the open space under the house. The 5 grandkids could run around.(It would of helped if there was a cover over the main stairwell but it did not stop us)Everyone liked having their own bedrooms & bathrooms, the kitchen & great room was large enough to fit us all.
The property location was the BEST!! It was close to Myrtle Beach & other beaches, so we could go out for a fun evening but come back to a quiet place, without the crowds. The property was cleaned & well maintained, plus all the amenities. Who would of guessed that having a washer/dryer would of been so wonderful!!
A few evenings we just relaxed on the porch & enjoy the view. We even got to see a double rainbow over the ocean!!
Since I've never been to this area it helped talking directly to the owner when I was trying to set up our vacation time. Suzy was also very helpful with things to do in the area. We felt more like we were visiting a friend's home, instead of a 'rental'!!

The location is great. Loved that it was pet friendly for my fur babies. The house looked clean but I had to clean up a spill and the floors were filthy. There were roaches in the house. The seals around the doors were horrible so the bugs were able to come in. We had to buy bug spray to spray outside which helped a little. The rental place said they would spray after we left. I didn't want them to spray while we were there because of the dogs. The pool was great also.

The property was decorated with modern furniture and appliances. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Very close to beach access along with quick accessibility to shopping and entertainment. Beautiful corner lot with additional parking very close. The property was reasonably priced and property manager was exceptional.

I would stay here again and recommend to others. Perfect for large families.

The house was beautiful and very clean. It is to the ocean , but also has a pool. The kitchen was well equipped. I would highly recommend this house.

June 1-8 stay with 12 close friends and their children. We all loved this beach house for our friends vacation! Everything was very clean and easily manageable. It was the perfect size for all of us with 6 bedrooms for 6 couples and children. The pool was perfect for those mid day naps for the kids so the parents could still get some sunshine while also relaxing while the children were asleep. Would highly recommend this place to any group of people vacationing!

Only have 1 complaint and it’s not even that big of a deal to most of us but I’m sure others would disagree. Running multiple showers at once causes the hot water to run out very quickly so if you aren’t one of the first people to shower you have limited hot water. Again not a big deal for our group as it was very hot the whole week we were there so it was kind of refreshing. Other than that we would definitely come back if we plan on vacationing in Myrtle beach again soon!

Second time we have rented this home. Very clean with great traffic flow throughout. Pool was wonderful. The hosts even provided us some welcoming goodies!

The home was perfect for our vacation with our grandchildren. Short walk to the beach. House had all the amenities needed. Loved the pool. Great restaurants close by and activities for the kids too. Definitely will be returning.

This was a great vacation house for our family! Very clean and spacious! Two minute walk to the beach and the beach is so nice...not so crowded and nice, soft sand! The pool at the house was great, too, especially for the young grandchildren who get tired of the beach. We had no issues the entire week. We would definitely rent this property again!

This vacation rental was beautiful and a perfect home for our family vacation. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach plus had a nice pool for the kids.
It had everything we needed for our stay including beach chairs, beach toys and pool toys for the kids.
The only hiccup was the propane tank for the grill was empty, so be sure to check before grilling! All in all it was a perfect getaway!

There is plenty to do in Myrtle Beach/Surfside.
Highly recommend this place and area.
Lots of restaurants and places to shop for both food and souvenirs.

The house was in good condition but I did not like that you got in late at 4:00 and then had to make your own beds of which their were 6. There was not toilet paper or paper towels. After paying all that money and fees I feel they should get you the essentials that you need. The rental company has so many rules and fees. It is ridiculous. Never Again!

Great location, easy walk to the beach with young children. One of the cleanest and most updated rentals we have had. We very much enjoyed our stay. Lots of restaurants close by. Beach area very clean and not as crowded as other areas we saw to each side of us. Did have a concern during the week with the low battery light on the entry door. Left message with maintenance at management company but no reply. Fortunately no issues with the lock.

The house was very nice and the location was great for the beach. It was also a very nice, and unexpected, treat when the owners/property managers sent us Shari’s Berries. The outdoor area was perfect for our family too. My only minor complaint, and it’s only bc of my pillow preference, is that one of the master bedrooms had very stiff pillows which interfered with my sleep. We would stay here again.

We absolutely loved this vacation rental. It was spotless! The home was spacious for our family of 10 and perfect for our 7 month old granddaughter. The beds were all comfortable. The screened in area with a pool table was an added bonus and served as our entertainment spot. Very short walk to the beach. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home. Our daughter described it as "our best trip yet". Would definitely rent this house again.

We had a great week at Dune Our Thing. The house is very nice! The pool and surrounding deck were perfect for our family. The pool table was a nice surprise. We had an issue with the AC and one toilet and both issues were remedied quickly and professionally. We had 4 vehicles and had to park single file and when someone wanted to leave vehicles had to be moved. This is not a complaint.
We all understood the property layout would not accommodate side by side parking. Great location. Mid week we received an delicious treat gift from the owners, very nice touch. The property description was accurate. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved this vacation rental. It was much better than the description. It was spotless! This home is packed with everything imaginable. Every small appliance you would need; spices; dishes; serving platters; beach chairs; towels; beach toys; floats; puzzles, you name it was there. The beds were all comfortable as was the furniture. The screened in area by the gorgeous pool was used for many lunches and dinners. Short walk to the beach was also a blessing. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home.

My family and I had the most relaxing stay here. The house was great and location was perfect. Can’t wait to do it again!
