Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and the Grand Strand are home to over 120 challenging golf courses and miles of golden, sandy beaches.  The Grand Strand stretches north to the Calabash, Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach, North Carolina areas; and stretches south to the Pawley’s Island and Georgetown, South Carolina areas.  With almost 70 miles of beachfront properties, hotels and marshland off the Atlantic Ocean; the Grand Strand is a highly coveted place to live, to vacation and to invest in real estate.

There are four distinct sections of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Cherry Grove, Ocean Drive, Crescent Beach and Windy Hill.  The North Myrtle Beach Cherry Grove Section is home to salt marshes, wildlife, and many vacation homes.  The North Myrtle Beach Ocean Drive Beach Section is home to the Shag and all of the clubs, bars and restaurants who Shag.  The North Myrtle Beach Crescent Beach Section is home to souvenir shopping and boulevard night clubs.  The North Myrtle Beach Windy Hill Section is home to Barefoot Landing, Alligator Adventure, Grand Prix Amusement Park, Alabama Theatre and House of Blues.

Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand are a part of Horry County, South Carolina.  Horry County includes the entire Grand Strand and also stretches west to include communities such as Loris and Conway.  Horry County real estate is in high demand, as relocating retirees and second-home buyers are increasing each year.  With a growing number of affordable properties springing up throughout the North Myrtle Beach and Grand Strand areas, growth and property values are likely to continue on an upward climb.  Resorts, gated communities and town home/condominium conglomerates near the Atlantic Ocean are oftentimes being sold out within the construction stages or shortly after opening their doors.
